Thanks to generous donations, the Caribbean Agroforestry Institute successfully hosted two impactful events that brought permaculture education and nature-based learning to our community. First, donation funds supported farm field trips for two 8th grade classes—totaling 50 students—who experienced hands-on learning through permaculture activities, nature immersion, and nutritious farm-fresh meals. These trips provided a unique opportunity for young learners to connect with sustainable farming and environmental stewardship. Additionally, donations make it possible to offer family scholarships for a 3-day permaculture course. These scholarships allow families to participate together in an enriching experience that combines practical permaculture training with time in nature and wholesome meals, fostering both environmental awareness and family bonding.
