Thanks to the generous support we have received the last 12 years, we are proud to announce that on June, 3 2025 we surpassed the $1,000,000 Community Impact mark! This comprehensive value includes the sum of our impact since July 31, 2013. Along with costs, we value volunteer hours based on the type of work. General support is valued at minimum wage, while skilled or leadership roles are valued higher to reflect their impact. This total also includes In-Kind donations, such as materials and supplies like solar lighting, asphalt, etc. provided by our Collaborators and Donors.
At RPBQN nonprofit organization, we believe strength lies in the partnerships and teamwork we have as a community.
On June 17th, 2024 we hosted our 100th general meeting. Our corporate planning meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month from 6-7 PM at 191-B, 5th Street, Aguadilla PR or a 3rd party location. All are invited and can also be attended virtually thru WhatsApp.
11th Annual Earth Day …
On April 26th we hosted our annual Earth Day Event. This year, with 86 other volunteers and 5 collaborating agencies, from 9:00-12:00, we were able to do a deep cleaning of the 642 acre area we adopted. It is our distinct pleasure to say that amount of garbage in the area has drastically decreased throughout the years! Our multi-pronged effort of education, signage, and paid trash services, have paid off with people keeping the area clean!
Every month we continue with our monthly calendar of maintenance events and community activities. This includesthe day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the 642-acre area along with behind the scenes administrative duties. This also includes but is not limited to: biweekly trash pickup, bimonthly mowing and trimming of recreational parks, monthly freeYoga and Tai Chi classes, RPBQN Experiences, etc. For the month of February for instance, we conducted “Love for Surfers Event” where we rehabilitated the recreational area by rebuilding the footbridge from the iconic Surfers to Survival trail, amongst other things. We have also committed to repairing and leveling the road to Wilderness Beach on a quarterly basis.
Last but not least…
For the 2025 FY we have allocated $10,325 per month to keep the nonprofit organization active and maintaining the project! Every month of the year we also pick a different maintenance event to restore and repair our park are and recreational areas. Last but not least, on June 21, 2025, we hosted Phase III Ramey Central Park Restoration where we added tree identification markers on the different tree species as a “living library”.
