Obed's Finca in Moca
Published on December 5, 2024 by Chris Ghosio

We started a new project, taking over the management of our friend Obed's 23 cuerda Finca to expand our beef and lamb operation.  We are excited about this opportunity as the finca is in the same neighborhood as our existing farm, Finca Brutal and the Obed's finca has also been abandoned and not used for over 7 years so we are comfortable that nature has taken care of any undesirable items that may have been used on the farm in the past as it previously operated as a cattle farm.

Today we moved our sheep herd and a few cows to the property, allowing us to start the regenerative agriculture process on that land.  It always amazes us how things transition over the course of a few years when pastures are treated with regenerative care.  Of course to throw a curve ball into our move these two twin lambs in the picture were born this morning,  they received the VIP treatment for the move to make sure they made it safely to the new farm.

Over the next few months we will be working to uncover the existing fence line,  mostly by machete work and repairing and replacing the outer fence While setting up divisions for our rotational grazing on the interior portions.

We appreciate everyone's support in helping us expand our operations and to continue to bring clean, humanly raised, regenerative food to Puerto Rico.
