About
On April 2012,Centro para Emprendedores, Inc. (CpE) opened its doors in response to a growing need of entrepreneur mentorship programs and a necessity to inculcate an entrepreneurial mindset in the Puerto Rican culture. Since its beginnings, the focus of CpE has been to support entrepreneurs via a comprehensive and holistic approach in the interest of contributing to the economic development of Puerto Rico. The organization provides the necessary tools and resources to assist individuals in their personal and social development, strengthen their business creation capacity.
Throughout the past seven years CpE has organized more than 40 Startup Weekends that have impacted more than 1,000 people. It has collaborated in more than 100 events and its personnel has educated more 250 students with CpE’s proprietary curriculum “Emprendiendo en Puerto Rico”. The organization has helped establish around 64 businesses and has sourced more than $3,500,000 in financing alternatives to help develop businesses in the Island. Centro para Emprendedores has instilled an entrepreneurial mindset in around 3,961 people from diverse backgrounds and professional inclinations. The organization mission includes impacting people in communities below poverty levels, techpreneurs, women and all other social and economic sub groups.
Centro para Emprendedores vision is to spread entrepreneurship as an engine of economic development and sustainable growth in order to attain job creation and promote the wellbeing of our community and the world. By partnering with the public and private sectors and other trade associations CpE has enjoyed increasing success in reaching its goals of slowly lifting the capabilities of the Puerto Rican community.
