About

At Pa'Ti Mar, two visionary women are spearheading a groundbreaking initiative to restore coral

reefs in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Pa'Ti Mar is a grassroots initiative driven by a deep admiration &

love for the ocean and shared concern for its future. Pa’Ti Mar is the first restoration project of

its kind and represents the face of civilian-driven coral reef restoration using the most up-to-date

and innovative coral restoration techniques taken from projects around the Caribbean and

Florida.

Pa’Ti Mar is embarking on an unprecedented mission to restore reefs by launching the world's

first open-air land-based coral nursery in the heart of a capital city. Our initiative involves

cultivating two critically endangered coral species native to these reefs, which will then be

directly transplanted onto the ailing underwater ecosystems. We will also launch

an ocean educational program for the general public and local youth.
