About
La Montaña Manatí is a plant-based and sober community healing center and permaculture farm that is currently under transformation. After being abandoned for approximately a decade, we arrived in January 2023 to start reviving the 15 acres of overgrown jungle and the 8,000 sq. ft decaying building. As a community, we are co-creating a site that soon will not only provide food and medicine for residents and guests, but will also be a resource for external communities to gather, learn, and heal through the connection with nature, plants and others. We are setting out to not only be an accessible resource for local residents, but to be a demonstration of how to live a more sustainable, healthy life in connection to the elements and the earth. Want to learn more about how we live and be apart of our community? Read our community values and learn about the work exchange program.
Our facility is dedicated to fostering true healing and connection, and therefore, we maintain a sober and smoke-free environment to support individuals on their journey towards well-being, transformation and connection.
