About
De Frente al Alzheimer, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise awareness and provide education about Alzheimer’s disease, as well as to create a financial fund that supports low-income patients in Puerto Rico. Our purpose is to provide sensitivity and awareness through access to financial and emotional resources for caregivers and family members of people with Alzheimer’s disease. The organization is committed to easing the emotional, physical, and financial burden faced by families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s.
Families in Puerto Rico spend over $3,000 each month on essential items such as medications, nursing services, adult diapers, specialized food, caregivers, and medical equipment. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, De Frente al Alzheimer, Inc. has supported more than 650 families, reimbursing expenses related to Alzheimer’s care and disbursing over $450,000 in aid.
The funds raised are directed to our Financial Assistance Program, an annual call for applications through which qualifying low-income families receive direct financial support for the care of their loved ones.
Your contribution will be making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable Alzheimer’s patients, their caregivers, and the families who support them every day.
