About

The emotional and economic challenges that caregivers and families go through while taking care of their loved one are stressful. The coronavirus pandemic has increased the uncertainty and great risk faced by Alzheimer’s patients and their Caregivers. Also, mental health problems are a main issue in the general community which is a risk factor for developing Alzheimer’s disease.

De Frente al Alzheimer Inc. Is a nonprofit organization established in 2015 by Teresa Seda. As a caregiver to her Mom she experienced the emotional and financial struggles Alzheimer disease brings to a family. Families with an Alzheimer’s patient invests more than $3,000 monthly in medicines, medical appointments, nurses, special food, caregivers, and medical equipment among other necessities. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and people like Victor Portugues DFAZ has impacted more than 450 families on Puerto Rico disbursing more than $450,000.00.

The role of DFAZ is more critical than ever. Stand with Victor in this 14 days journey and support his cause, your contribution will be a blessing and will make a positive impact in the lives of the most vulnerable Alzheimer patients, their caregivers, and their families.   100% of the fund raised, will go towards De Frente al Alzheimer Inc.
